Pict showing the sonic dread anchoring one flank. The plan for this army was always to have double lash of submission deamon princes in power armour just swanning about the midfield, lashing units out of cover and straight in front of the predators and noise marines. Good plan eh ? Yeah, I'll stick with that. No, wait. sad face - not with this codex.
And another pict with the Deamon Prince. So this army could have a Chaos Lord added, which, paying the points for the right S&M Club membership, make the Noise Marines troops. Otherwise I'll need another plan.
I dig it - that's a great looking force!
ReplyDeleteYou know me: none of this 'chaos' stuff makes one iota of sense to me...but it looks suitably and terrifyingly purple, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteSpecifically here, Admiral, the easiest way of looking at it is with your guard head on. What would you not want any of those toys to do ? You would not want 'zerkers or defilers in your front rank, you would not want the DP to challenge your CCS to a duel, you would not want to face a noise marine firebase, you would not want all of those Preds hunting your armour or the Khorne Termies deep striking adjacent to where the 'zerkers and defilers hit. Once you have that off pat, using a CSM army simply becomes a matter of doing to your opponent what you would not want done to you. EPLS.
DeleteThese forces look suspiciously high in points, and suitably terrifying :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at mine and its mostly PBI.. :)
did a big terrain build today so just the paint to go now :)
Cheers gents. I will try to get some more paint on the defilers before they are actually needed. And I'll add up how much this lot comes to (in points); I reckon this'll be the 'main body' of the Coalition of the Willing, even if the HQ plus two comes from the Word Bearers. Or World Nibblers.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the planet Cannock !
