EPIC28
Playing EPIC in 28mm.

I've got over 200 hours in Voss Pattern Vultures. All simulated.
So the latest four reinforcements for the Imperial Guard on Devos IV are actually technically members of the Imperial Navy's Close Orbit Command.
The same heads as the Valk crews
Those cockpit assemblies are much more detailed that the ones I did for the Valks.
And into their flying stations.
Lots of work still to do, but some meaningful progress is always nice.

It's possibly the future Part 3
This is the SPG with a barrel. You'll recall that the hull was printed, horizontally split into two pieces. So the track sponsons are separate pieces as well.
It's a purposeful looking vehicle, even in bright blue and white.
So let's see how it looks in a single, tank like colour.
There, now we're getting somewhere.
So now for hairspray and some actual tank colour.

It's possibly the future, Part 2
This is another, more speculative print by Steve's boy. It makes an SPG. The barrel didn't print nicely, but we have PVC tube the same as I used on the Mastercrafted StUG. More of this in the future, too.
So I'll leave you with a few more picts. It certainly shows that 3D Printing has a lot to offer.

It's possibly the future Part 1
This was printed for me by the son of one of my friends, who being 11, must remain anonymous. Not Steve, he's old and crusty like me, but those world is run by grown ups don't really need to be on the internet before they're ready.
So this is Forpost D6's chimera hull. If you search up Forpost D6 on shapeways, this is one of the wonders on there. He'll print one out and post it to you for £60ish, but you can down load the file and print your own for gratis.
So Steve and I are chatting away and the conversation eventually gets to where his boy has printed his own Iron Man mask (pretty kool for 11). I remember seeing this file whilst browsing and asked nicely. So a couple of these were run off for me.
The model, as you can see, is a pretty good facsimile of a chimera hull. It comes up a little short and slightly narrow, but only 1 or 2 mm, as you will see in a future post, nothing that a bit of creative construction can't get round. And it possibly protects Forpost D6 from legal action (?)
The striations on the model might be avoidable with a tweak of the printer settings, again not something I know too much about. They are not a problem with regard to the model anyway.
So. On the strength of this (before I'd seen this print), I asked Mrs Zzzzz for a 3D Printer for Chrimbo. As soon as we're out of lock down, I'll see about building the blinkin' thing.
It's Sun 19 Mar 20, btw. I've found left over Chimera bits from when I've used the hull on other conversions. And done a little work there, so you'll see that in a short while.

Agents of the Inquisition 8
Augurs. Data terminals. Uplinks.
Vox casters, eavesdropping devices.
Slaved to small pocket inertial locators, refractor field generators have their uses.
And of course, these wonders of engineering, the bastard children of taxidermists and the mechanicum are almost deriguer in some circles.

Agents of the Inquisition 7
This is Inquisitor Raedsel and his associated. The man at the front with the dagger and las pistol is his intrusion expert. His unusual backpack contains a refractor field and grav chute. It's almost certainly a Jokero item.
The Inquisitor himself is fond of a direct approach. After his more clandestine associate has reported back that their quarry is where they want, the Inquisitor will get his associate Mr Emdd to affect an entry with his assault cannon and trust to his own towering presence (and TL plasma pistols) to make the arrest.
Mr Kal will invariably be flanking or covering the operation from a distance. The others don't mind as he has halitosis and questionable standards of personal hygene. However, he is good at what he does and is therefore tolerated.
Inquisitor Raedsel is a dedicated Witch Hunter. He and his team are well equipped for their task. His methods are usually to pick up cold trails which have confounded other witch hunters and rattle the place up and see what falls out. They are good detectives, using logic and forensics to follow up their leads.
He is quite often sent by the Conclave to investigate cases where Inquisitorial teams or agents have disappeared. He is the most likely of the Inquisitors on Devos IV to call on the services of the SWAT team.
He does have a sense of humour, Mr Emdd is a talented chef with regard to his ethnically native cusine. The nameless burgler-cum-murderer has an encyclopedic knowledge of popular music from Bella Coronis within a narrow band of between nine and seven years ago. And Mr Kal accepts with good grace that no-one wants to be anywhere near him. Having said that. they're not the most social bunch ever.

Agents of the Inquisition 6
This is Inquisitor Khakassia. Yes, it's probably a nom-de-guerre. He is a member of the Ordo Hereticus and a minor psyker himself. He's originally from Sovatskaya Gavan, formerly a Maiden World settled by Valhallans as their trophy world six generations ago. Although he grew up in a Schola, unlike a lot of Scholum, he spent time boating, cycling through the forests, rafting down canyons and so on.
Alizbrum Ausun is Delta (possibly Eplison) level psyker. And one of Inquisitor Khakassia's Interrogators. Obviously being able to peel open someone's conscious or subconscious mind is a huge time saver. Inquisitor Khakassia likes this.
Naylor is soft and delicate, one of those individuals who seems like a pillar of calm no matter where he is or what is going on. He is environmentally conscious and extremely charitable. He's also an augmented super assassin.
Lightening death with his hands and feet, expert with most of the things man has made to kill other men with. Keeping Naylor at the level required takes a modicum of resources in terms of places to practice and tools to practice with, not to mention the occasional stim implant. But Khakassia thinks he's worth it.
The cherub is a broad spectrum auspex and multi channel pict capture and vox caster.
Which brings us to the penitent. She is there, possibly unwillingly, given the shackles, to act as a psykik earthing rod in the event of a warp related attack. Got to protect the high value assets.
